Laurence Colchester

Laurence Colchester is a publisher and co-founder in 2003 of Bitter Lemon Press. She is French and lives in London. Before starting Bitter Lemon Press, Laurence had a long and varied career in international business. She worked as an economist at Citibank, at the Hudson Institute and at the French embassy in London. For eleven years she was the Managing Director of the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain. Laurence studied economics at the University of Paris and at Columbia, and international affairs at Johns Hopkins University. Her interests include theatre, music and walking in the Cevennes and in the Lake District.
