Yolanda Reyes is a Colombian writer and director of Espantapájaros, a project to encourage reading from a young age. Her works for children include El terror de Sexto “B,” which earned the Premio Fundalectura in 1994, and made The White Ravens Honor List of the Youth Library of Munich; Los años terribles, for which she received a grant from Colombia’s Ministry of Culture; Los agujeros negros, which was included in the collection Los Derechos de los Niños; and Una cama para tres, which also made The White Ravens Honor List. Her adult works include Pasajera en tránsito, named to Revista Arcadia’s Ten Best Books of 2007, and Qué raro que me llame Federico.
