Souhaib Ayoub is a Lebanese novelist, performer, and painter. He has worked as a journalist for Arab and international newspapers and platforms. In his artistic work, Ayoub is concerned with asylum, exile, gender identity, and queerness; his work discusses the influence of political, cultural and historical structures in shaping the collective story, based on the individual story. He published his first novel, Rajol Min Satin (Man of Satin; Hachette-Antoine/Naufal, Beirut), in 2018. His second novel, The Wolf of the Family, is forthcoming, and he contributed to a theatrical work, Heresies, directed by Rabih Mroué and Lina Majdalani.
