Rachel Rankin

Rachel Rankin is a poet and Norwegian-to-English literary translator currently based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her writing has been published in the Scotsman, the Scottish Review of BooksGutter, and the Nordic Riveter, among others. Rachel received a Dewar Arts Award in 2017 and a Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award in 2019 and was selected to take part in the Emerging Translator Mentorship Programme organized by the National Centre for Writing in 2018. As well as translating, Rachel is a part-time tutor in Scandinavian studies at the University of Edinburgh and also works as a tour guide in Edinburgh. She can be followed on Twitter at @rakelrank.
