Peter Theroux

Peter Theroux is the translator of a dozen books from Arabic, including Abdelrahman Munif’s Cities of Salt trilogy, Naguib Mahfouz’s Children of the Alley, and Emile Habiby’s Saraya the Ogre’s Daughter, A Palestinian Fairy Tale. He was educated at Harvard and American University in Cairo and is currently translating a major work by Iraqi novelist Najem Wali.
