Olivia Elias (Haifa, 1944) is a French-language poet of the Palestinian diaspora. She lived until the age of 16 in Lebanon, where her family took refuge in 1948, then in Montreal, Canada....

Characterized by terse language and strong rhythms – and translated into English, Arabic, Spanish, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese – her work has been published in numerous reviews and anthologiesWith Chaos, Crossing (World Poetry, Nov. 2022), translated by Kareem James Abu-Zeid, she made her English-language debut.
