Mélodie Joseph

Mélodie Joseph was born in Martinique in 1995, grew up in Saint Martin, and has lived in Montreal for several years. She holds a master’s degree in communications from the Université de Montréal, where she wrote a thesis on Afrofuturism. La Chèvre Noire, the highly anticipated sequel to La respiration du ciel, is her second book....

Both titles were published by VLB Éditeur in Canada and will be published in France as part of Gallimard’s Folio Fantasy collection. They are considered to be among the first Afrofantasy novels written in French.
