Mark Weiss

Poet and translator Mark Weiss was born in New York in 1943. Since publishing his first poetry collection in 1976, he has since co-edited the anthology Across the Line / Al otro lado: The Poetry of Baja California (2002) and an anthology of Cuban poetry, The Whole Island: Six Decades of Cuban Poetry. He takes inspiration from a number of his professional experiences, from filmmaking and teaching to doing social work and dealing in fine prints. He currently resides in New York.
