Lucie Lomová is a Czech comic-book author, illustrator, and artist. Her series about two little mice, Anča a Pepík (Annie and Joe), published regularly in Čtyřlístek magazine during the 1990s, was subsequently collected in book form and adapted in 2017 for a Czech television series. Lomová´s first book for adults, Anna en cavale (2006), was first published in French by Éditions de l’An 2 and one year later in Czech as Anna chce skočit. Her other books include a graphic adaptation of five fairy tales by Karel Jaromír Erben, Zlaté české pohádky (The Greatest Czech Fairy Tales, 2008); Divoši (Savages; published as Les Sauvages, Éditions de l’An 2/Actes Sud, 2011), the story of a Paraguayan brought to Prague by the ethnologist Alberto Vojtěch Frič in 1908; and Na odstřel (Labyrint, 2014), a crime story set in a theater. Lomová also collaborates on interactive games and advent calendars for Czech online television. She has won multiple awards, and her books have been published in France, Poland, and Hungary.
