Kyabchen Dedrol

Born in Chukhama in Amdo, Kyabchen Dedrol is a leading figure of the “Third Generation of Tibetan Poets,” a new literary movement composed of a group of young Tibetan writers centered around the border town of Ziling, Tsongon (Xining, Qinghai). A major poet and an essayist, Dedrol is also a fiction writer and novelist. Dedrol was also the founder of Butter Lamp (ཆོས་མེ་༏), one of the most important online Tibetan literary journals.
