Izidora Angel is a Bulgarian-born writer and translator. She was named one of seven literary translators to watch by Electric Literature, and her writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Review, Chicago Reader, Project Plume, and others. Nataliya Deleva’s Four Minutes follows Izidora's translation of Hristo Karastoyanov’s The Same Night Awaits Us All (Open Letter, 2018), an English PEN grant recipient. For her in-progress work on Yordanka Beleva’s short story collection, Keder, Izidora was awarded a Rona Jaffe Foundation scholarship to the 2021 Bread Loaf Translators’ Workshop Series. Izidora lives in Chicago, where she cofounded the Third Coast Translators Collective.
