Dr. Holly Yanacek is associate professor of German at James Madison University. As a literary scholar and translator from German, she is primarily interested in translating works that align with her interests in emotion studies, care ethics, gender studies, animal studies, and posthumanism. She is a former Fulbrighter who still has a metaphorical suitcase in Berlin. She is delighted that Words Without Borders has published her first literary translation.
