Franciane Conceição Silva is a Brazilian literary critic and researcher. She earned her PhD in Portuguese-language literatures from the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais (PUC Minas) and a master’s in literary studies from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV). In 2017, she was a visiting researcher at the University of Lisbon.
She is a member of the study group “Diasporic Aesthetics” at PUC Minas and the Nucelus of Afro-Brazilian studies at UFV. Silva was recognized in the Roll-Call of Black Intellectuals published at the Festa Literária Internacional de Paraty (Flip). In 2016, she organized the anthology Literaturas Africanas: narrativas, identidades, diásporas (African Literatures: narrative, identity,and diaspora). She is a member of the Latin American Studies Association and the Brazilian Association of Black Researchers.
