Ezra E. Fitz studied translation at Princeton University under the tutelage of James Irby, C.K. Williams, Jonathan Galassi, and Robert Fagles. Since then, he has focused his attention on current, post-Boom Latin American literature. Fitz has also written a novel of his own—his first—set in the New York neighborhoods of Morningside Heights and Crown Heights.
