Eduardo del Llano

Eduardo del Llano was born in Moscow in 1962 and lives in Havana. He founded and directed NOS-Y-OTROS, a group that created literary and theatrical works between 1982 and 1997. His prolific literary work includes poetry, short stories, and novels, in genres that include science fiction, detective fiction, children’s literature, and literary fiction. His work has been awarded the Abril Prize (1988, 1992), the Premio Italo Calvino (awarded in Italy in 1996), the Premio de Cuento de Revolución y Cultura (1998), and the Fantoche de Cuentos Policiales (2015), among others. He has written and directed a number of award-winning films and has participated in film festivals across the globe. His latest novel, Bonsai, was published in 2014.
