Derek Chung is a Hong Kong poet, novelist, essayist, critic, and translator. He is the recipient of numerous Hong Kong Biennial Awards for Chinese Literature, among other accolades. Notable works include The Growing House, Umbrellas That Blossom on the Road, A Bright House Standing in Light Rain, and The Lives of Animals.
