Bernardino Pérez Miranda was born in 1969 in San Basilio de Palenque. He has more than thirty years of experience as a teacher of Spanish and Palenquero at the Institución Educativa Técnica Agropecuaria Benkos Bioho in San Basilio de Palenque. He is also a writer, poet, and native languages advisor to the Ministry of Culture.
