On November 9, 1989 the Berlin Wall “fell.” While most will recall happy images of East and West Germans celebrating atop the wall that had separated them for decades, Ingo Schulze and 2003 Bachmann Prize-winner Inka Parei give us some insight into the difficulties of post-reunification life.
