We’re pleased to welcome Miguel Conde as the new book review editor of Words Without Borders.
Miguel is an editor and journalist based in Rio de Janeiro. He worked for eight years as a reporter and editor at O Globo newspaper, in Rio, and was the managing editor for two years at Rocco publishing house. His essays, interviews, and book reviews have been published in Brazil and abroad by such outlets as Folha de S. Paulo, Literary Hub, Revista Arcadia, and Letterature d’America. He was the program director for two editions of Flip, the international literary festival in Paraty, and a visiting research fellow at Brown University. He is the creator of Marginalia, a collection of writer’s letters and diaries currently being published in Brazil by Rocco, and is finishing a PhD in Brazilian literature at Rio’s PUC University.
