Terra Incognita

By Rowan Ricardo Phillips
Translated from English by Melcion Mateu
Listen in original language

I plugged my poem into a manhole cover
That flamed into the first guitar,
Jarred the asphalt and tar to ash,
And made from where there once was
Ground a sound instead to stand on.

Terra Incognita

Vaig connectar el poema a una tapa de claveguera
que, encesa en flames, fou la primera guitarra;
esmicolà el quitrà i l'asfalt en cendres
i transformà l'indret que era el sòl,
en un so sols per a clavar-hi els peus.
