Geetanjali Shree

Geetanjali Shree is the author of five novels and several story collections. Her work has been translated into English, French, German, Serbian, and Korean. She was born in Mainpuri, India, in 1957. She has received and been shortlisted for a number of awards and fellowships, and currently lives in New Delhi. Tomb of Sand, translated from the Hindi by Daisy Rockwell and published by Tilted Axis Press in 2021, is her third novel to be translated into English and the first to be published in the UK and US. With Daisy Rockwell she is the joint winner of the 2022 International Booker Prize.
