Continuing our series on WWB authors who've sold English-language rights to their work as a result of appearing in WWB, we're delighted to announce the publication of Johan Harstad’s Buzz Aldrin, What Happened to You in All the Confusion? The novel tells the story of the quiet gardener Mattias, who wants only “to be a smooth running cog in the world,” and whose idol is Buzz Aldrin, the second man on the moon. A series of personal and professional disasters lands Mattias in the remote Faroe Islands, where his willed invisibility is put to multiple tests. WWB published Harstad's stories “To,” “Chlorine,” and “Ambulance”; these caught the eye of Nicole James, of the Aaron Priest Literary Agency, who worked with Harstad's publisher, Gyldendal, to place Buzz Aldrin with Seven Stories Press. The publication is a gratifying extension of WWB's mission to introduce international writers to the English-language audience.
