Weekend Reading: The Wall in My Head

My shiny new galley of The Wall in My Head: Words and Images from the Fall of the Iron Curtain arrived yesterday. This of course isn’t any ol’ galley, this is Words Without Borders’ very own anthology to be published this fall by Open Letter. No matter how many books I’ve accumulated over the years I still love getting galleys. The reader in me is excited for something new, the consumer in me likes to get stuff before the rest of the world. But today I’m not so special. Today, and for only a limited time, anyone in the world can read The Wall in My Head online. Three Percent has made the book available on the e-Publishing platform, Yudu. Check out Milan Kundera, Zbigniew Herbert, Vladimir Sorokin, Masha Gessen, Dubravka Ugresic and many others, with just a click.

You may, of course, want to check out the “The Wall in My Head” blog, as well.
