As you may know we at Words Without Borders have dedicated our April to the PEN World Voices Festival. We began with our monthly issue full of writing from festival participants and we’ve just started to post event coverage here on our blog, starting with James Marcus’s piece on Nobel Laureate Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio in conversation with Adam Gopnik. Finally we will be hosting a special PEN World Voices event: Saturday, May 2 at 4:30 pm, Revolutionary Writers with Yoshihiro Tatsumi and Adrian Tomine.
We’ll also try to bring you links to the best coverage we see around the Web. To that end, we’ve seen a few blog posts start to trickle in. Although the festival began last Friday with the Le Clézio event it really doesn’t get busy until Thursday, but here’s what we’ve seen so far:
On the Le Clézio event we’ve seen Time Out New York, Leora Skolkin-Smith posting at the Critical Mass blog, and Words Without Borders Co-Founder Dedi Felman’s post at LitKicks. We’ve also enjoyed Michael Orthofer’s post on Resonances: Writers on the Great Works at The Literary Saloon.
Stay tuned for a busy week!
