Zjaleh Hajibashi teaches Persian at the University of Virginia. Her articles on Persian literature and her reviews of writing on the Middle East have been published in Critique, Edebiyat, Iranian Studies, Middle East Journal, Middle East Report, and elsewhere. She also writes poetry and fiction.
