Waqas Khwaja earned his PhD in Victorian fiction from Emory University and is professor of English at Agnes Scott College where he teaches courses in Victorian, Romantic, and Postcolonial literature as well as in poetry writing. He has published three collections of original poetry and several edited anthologies of Pakistani literature in translation. His latest book of poems, No One Waits for the Train, was released in 2007. An anthology of translated poems from Pakistan’s multiple language traditions, which he has compiled as translation editor, will be issued by Dalkey Archive Press under the title Modern Poetry of Pakistan in January 2011.
