Vali Ashraf Sabuhi

Vali Ashraf Sabuhi (1905–90) was a writer from an elite Delhi Muslim family. He migrated to Pakistan at its creation in 1947, and spent the rest of his life there. "Sahib-e-alam" is translated from his collection, Ghubar-e-Karvan [The Dust of the Caravan] (Karachi: Maktaba-e-Danyal, 1969)
