Tiffany M. Higgins

Tiffany Higgins is a poet, translator, and journalist writing on Brazil and the environment. Her writing appears in Granta, Poetry, Mongabay, and elsewhere. She was the 2020 Annie Clark Tanner Fellow in Environmental Humanities at the University of Utah, and as a 2021 Fulbright Scholar to Brazil will continue her research with traditional peoples in the Amazon. She is the author of The Apparition at Fort Bragg (2016), winner of the Iron Horse Literary Review contest; And Aeneas Stares into Her Helmet (Carolina Wren Press / Blair, 2009), winner of the Carolina Wren Poetry Prize; and a chapbook of translations from Portuguese of Alice Sant’Anna’s poetry, Tail of the Whale (Toad Press, 2016).
