Terrence Russell is associate professor of Chinese at the Asian Studies Center of the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada, where he teaches Chinese language and literature. In addition to co-translating Zhang Wei's September's Fable, he has translated Zhang's novel Seven Kinds of Mushroom and several essays and short stories.
