Tara FitzGerald

Tara FitzGerald is a New York-based writer, translator and journalist. She studied literature as an undergraduate at Oxford University and is currently finishing up an MFA in creative nonfiction and literary translation at Columbia. Tara has lived and worked in the UK, Germany, parts of the former Soviet Union, the United Arab Emirates and Mexico. The last few months have found her wandering around Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in pursuit of inspiration and information for her nonfiction book on the Aral Sea environmental disaster and the communities it has affected.
