Tadeusz Różewicz

Tadeusz Różewicz (1921–2014), a poet, playwright, fiction writer, and essayist, has been a prominent figure in modern Polish literature since his celebrated debut in 1947. His work has been translated into numerous languages, and his plays have been staged throughout the world. "The Professor's Knife," which appears here in part, is the title poem of his collection Nożyk Profesora (2001).
