Suzana Tratnik (1963) is a writer, translator, publicist, and sociologist with an MA in gender anthropology. She has published six short-story collections, Below Zero, In One's Own Backyard, Parallels, Things I've Never Understood on the Train, Two Worlds, and Reservation; two novels, My Name is Damjan and Third World; a play; and two nonfiction books. In 2007 she was awarded the national Prešeren's Fund Prize for best fiction. Tratnik has translated several books of British and American fiction, nonfiction, and plays.
