Suat Karantay is a Professor of Translation Studies at Boõaziçi University in Istanbul. He is the Secretary General of the Turkish PEN Center, and the author of numerous articles on translation theory and criticism, as well as on drama and American literature, and many translations of Turkish poetry. He is the editor of Short Dramas from Contemporary Turkish Literature, and directs the Contemporary Turkish Literature website.
