Souâd Belhaddad

Souâd Belhaddad was born in Algeria and grew up in France.  A journalist, she received the prestigious prize of the Association des Femmes Journalistes (Association of Women Journalists) in 1994.  She has written extensively about memory and national identity, including her texts Entre-deux Je (2001), and Algérie: Le Prix de l'oubli (2005)With Esther Mujawayo, she has published SurVivantes (2004) and La Fleur de Stéphanie (2006).  Belhaddad is also the author and actor in a comedic one-woman show, Fatchima a des choses à vous djire.
