Sotiris Dimitriou (b. 1955 in Thesprotia) is one of Greece's best-known and most prolific prose writers. Author of numerous novels and collections of short stories—one of which has been made into a popular film—he is known for his focus on the "outsider," and the experiences of marginal ethnic communities and immigrants in Greece.
