Soheila Beski, born in 1953, in Tehran, has published two collections of short stories in Iran, one of which has won a literary award and the second of which was nominated for the same award. She has published four novels abroad (in Persian). Two were published in Iran last year after many years of rejected applications for permits—the other two are still awaiting publishing permits.
Soheila Beski has translated a biography of Virginia Woolf by Quentin Bell and an autobiography of Emma Goldman; both have been published in Iran. She lives in Tehran
