Shushan Avagyan

Shushan Avagyan (b. 1976) is the author of the novel Girk-Anvernagir (Book, Untitled, 2006) and Zarubyani Kanayq (Zarubyan's Women, 2014). She has translated several books into English, including a volume of S. Kurghinian's poetry and V. Shklovsky's A Hunt for Optimism. Her articles and translations have appeared in Contemporary Women's Writing, The Book of Saint Ejneb, Asymptote, and Dissidences: Hispanic Journal of Theory and Criticism. She currently teaches at the American University of Armenia.
