Shahad Uzzaman is a medical anthropologist, currently working with Newcastle University, UK. He writes short stories, novels, and nonfiction. He has published twenty-five books, and his debut collection, Koyekti Bihbol Galpa, won the Mowla Brothers Literary Award in 1996.
