Regina Vater (Rio de Janeiro, 1943) lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. She has developed a complex and sophisticated body of work over the last four decades that contributes significantly to the debate on the emergence of a media ecology in the areas of art and contemporary life.
Vater's work has recently been shown in individual shows at MASP São Paulo, MAC Niterói, Oi Futuro Flamengo and Centro Cultural Candido Mendes, in Rio de Janeiro. Her works belong to important collections, among them MoMA (New York), Bibliothèque Nationale (Paris), and SAMMLUNG VERBUND Collection (Vienna).
