Raudal Tanjung Banua has worked as a newspaper correspondent and has published poetry, short stories, and essays in a number of Indonesian periodicals and anthologies....

He is the author of four short story collections, Pulau Cinta di Peta Buta (2003), Ziarah bagi yang Hidup (2004), Parang tak Berulu (2005), and Kota-Kota Kecil yang Diangan dan Kujumpai (2018), and two volumes of poetry, Gugusan Mata Ibu (2005) and Api Bawah Tanah (2013). He has received prizes including the 2005 Anugrah Sastra Horison, the Sih Poetry Journal Award, and the 2007 Mastera, Kuala Lampur, and was nominated for the Khatulistiwa Literary Award in the prose and poetry category. He lives in Yogyakarta.
