Raluca Albu

Raluca Albu teaches in the Undergraduate Writing Program at Columbia University and studies fiction and translation in the MFA program. She was born in Romania and grew up in the Bronx where she has been collecting stories about political refugees, fiddle players, and LGBT gospel choir singers. She co-owns a farm by the Black Sea and organizes summer artist residencies there that involve cavorting in sunflower fields and documenting the evolution of post communist life.
