Born in Verona in 1965, Paolo Bacilieri graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti, in Bologna. He became known in the 80s thanks to stories like "The Treasure of Imbalas" and "Barokko," published in France in the magazines Corto and À Suivre. He later worked with the Italian publisher Bonelli on comic book series such as Napoleone, Jan Dix, and Dylan Dog. His major works include Durasagra Venice über alles, SuperMaso attitude, Zeno Porno, La magnifica desolazione, Canzoni in A4, Adios Muchachos (from the Daniel Chavarria novel, screenplay by Matz), and Sweet Salgari. He lives and works in Milan.
