Olivia M. Coetzee

Olivia M. Coetzee was born in Mariental, a small town in the southern part of Namibia, and grew up in Electric City, a suburb in Cape Town, South Africa.  She holds a master’s degree in creative writing from the University of the Western Cape and plans to continue her academic career, working on PhD research around the history of Kaaps. She has published poetry, opinion pieces, and translations on the online journal Litnet. Her debut novel, Innie Shadows, was published in December 2019. She is currently translating Innie Shadows from Kaaps into English.
