Noori Ijadi, born in 1960, is a management consultant who in 1982 started a second career as a writer of fiction for children and young adults. Her works include more than ten titles, several of which have received various literary awards and honors. In 2008, she began writing fiction for adults and her first work was published a year later. Her most acclaimed collection of short stories, Someone is Calling, “Leili,” was published in 2012.
