Born in the early 1980s, Nine Antico is a French illustrator and cartoonist. She started her career with a fanzine, Rock This Way, in which she combined her two passions: rock and illustrations. She is currently working for magazines such as Nova, Trax, and Muteen, and her work is exhibited in Point Éphèmère and by the Arts Factory.
Her first book, Le goût du paradis, has been acclaimed by journalists and nomintaed for the first best album in the Angoulême Festival 2009. She has contributed a short story in the anthology Summer of the 80s published by Arte and Dargaud. In 2011, her two new books are in the selection of Angoulême Festival: Coney Island, a marvellous crossover between pinup Betty Page and Linda Lovelace, published by L'association, and Girls, Don't Cry, published by Glénat. She will be a special guest in Fumetto, Switzerland, and in residency in Los Angeles in 2011. She will illustrate pages about the Velvet Underground in the second volume of Rock Strips, by Vincent Brunner, published by Flammarion.
