Nikos Violaris was born in Athens in 1985.  He is studying at Athens University in the Department of History and Archaeology.  Two books of his poetry have been published by Gavrielides Publications, and poems of his, translated by Yiannis Goumas, have appeared in the bilingual Greek and English anthology Novelty Within or Beyond Language, (Athens, 2009).  Violaris’ poetry has appeared in various literary magazines and been translated into a number of languages.
