Nadezhda Gorlova was born in 1975 in Moscow, where she lives today. She works at Literaturnaya Gazeta, a well-known Moscow newspaper. She was awarded the 1995 Novyi Mir Prize for her story “A Journey to Lipetsk” and the 2006 Evrika Prize for her story “Rebecca’s Veil.” Here work has also appeared in Nash Sovremennik, Yunost’, Arion, and elsewhere. Her book Luna na oschup holodnaya was released in 2011.
