Moshe Sakal is the best-selling author of five novels. His work has been translated into French and English. In 2011, his novel Yolanda was shortlisted for the Sapir Prize, and was published in France by Stock (2012). His latest novel, My Sister, was long-listed for the Sapir Prize.
In 2011 he was an Honorary Fellow in Writing at the University of Iowa’s International Writing Program, and he is a recipient of the Eshkol Prize and a Fulbright grant. He has published essays and opinion pieces in major Israeli outlets, including Ha’aretz, as well as in Le Monde and the Forward. Fluent in three languages, Moshe Sakal studied and worked in France between 2000 and 2006. His novel The Diamond Setteris forthcoming in 2017 from Other Press.
