Mohammad Ali Diriye was born in Somalia, and has studied in Saudi Arabia and in Sudan.  He is a medical doctor, and is now Chief Resident at the Jordan University Hospital, Family Medicine Department. Beside his medical career, he is also a short story writer and a novelist, as well as the Chief Editor of a monthly Somali magazine published in Arabic.
