Mimi Mondal

Mimi Mondal is a Dalit writer of speculative fiction and social-justice nonfiction, and the poetry and reprints editor of Uncanny Magazine. Her first anthology, Luminescent Threads: Connections to Octavia Butler, was published in 2017 by Twelfth Planet Press. Mimi is a 2017 Immigrant Artist Fellow at the New York Foundation for the Arts, and was formerly a junior editor at Penguin Random House India; a Commonwealth Scholar in publishing studies at the University of Stirling, Scotland, UK; and the 2015 Octavia E. Bulter Memorial Scholar at the Clarion West Writers Workshop. Mimi lives in New York, tweets from @Miminality, and always enjoys the company of monsters.
